Counsellor (intern)

There are various aspects our lives that can interfere with our personal success, social and family relationships, mental stability and overall well-being. Taking care of these needs are an important part of maintaining ones mental health. As a counsellor my job is to help clients identify what these needs are and help my clients address them. I am currently finishing my Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology and will be doing my internship with for the Compassion Project under the supervision of Pauline O'Brien, Ed.D., CCC-S, CCS-AC, RP.

As a woman of colour I understand the reality of the barriers that we face and the intersection of both race and gender. I work to help clients build their self-esteem and confidence by encouraging a healthy self- love and appreciation of who they are and who they can be.
