Asim Ashraf

M.Ed., Registered Psychotherapist, Qualifying


Asim is a trained coach, counsellor and qualifying psychotherapist having worked over 10 years in educational institutions and community agencies. He has supported well-being and mental health of students, seniors, unemployed, marginalized and distress cases in the Greater Toronto Area. He completed his Masters in Counselling and Psychotherapy from the University of Toronto in 2018. 


Clients seeking Asim's support may expect his capacity to listen deeply, to engage in collaborative work towards greater empowerment, and to develop compassion when facing systemic oppression. Asim's lived experience as a cis-male, queer Muslim, and being a child from immigrant Indian parents, informs to enrich the therapeutic process. Asim integrates his online therapy practice from three evidenced-based approaches: Cognitive-Behavioural Therapy, Emotion-Focused Therapy, Mindfulness-Based Interventions, and Radical Compassion.
