Psychotherapist, D. Soc.Sci, MSW, RSW
I am a registered social worker with a Doctorate of Social Sciences Degree from Royal Roads University. My dissertation research focused on the facilitators to accessing mental health care for military first responders, an extension of my MSW grounded theory research on resilience despite childhood trauma. My 15 years of clinical experience includes work in both non-profit & government agencies in mental health (specializing in eating disorders & trauma) and my workshop presentations and publications over the past 10 years include local, national and international venues. I currently provide individual and couple therapy to active duty and retired Canadian Armed Forces members and have been in private practice for the past 13 years. I regularly practice yoga, am a foster parent for rescued felines, and an avid traveller who loves to stay challenged both physically & mentally.
